As I type this, it’s Saturday afternoon and I’m currently relaxing in the Pensacola airport while I wait for my twice-delayed flight to Charlottesville. (I don’t mind — I have a smoothie and a book I’ve been dying to read.)
This past week was my Spring Break, because W&L does things a little differently. I’m headed back for a four week “spring term” in which I’m taking one class: Celluloid Shakespeare. While the fact that I’m already on 300-level English has me a little terrified, I’m excited to have one of my favorite professors again. And hopefully more reading time!
I did manage to go home after Winter Term killed me, and so naturally that meant I had to pick up a few books. While my pledge class ran around on the beach, I mostly laid out in one place until I finished whichever books I’d picked out for the day. It was lovely. Without further ado, here are the books I’ve picked up lately.
Insomnia: Poems by Linda Pastan | Goodreads
The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas | Goodreads
Suffer Love by Ashley Herring Blake | Goodreads
Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins | Goodreads
The Way I Used to Be by Amber Smith | Goodreads
Furiously Happy by Jenny Lawson | Goodreads
This Too Shall Pass by Milena Busquets | Goodreads
Out of these, I read several on the beach and on various flights. Currently, I’m in the middle of The Hate U Give and could not be more excited about it!
