In Florida, it’s summer. Essentially, it has been all year, but that’s the Floridian lifestyle. There’s this feeling in the air of lightness and excitement. It’s like I’m constantly wanting to go to the beach. If I had a car, I wouldn’t even care about rising gas prices, I would be driving the hour back and forth to the beach every single weekend. I can practically taste the salty ocean air! The sand sticking to my calves! The smell of sunscreen!
For you Northerners, this is a spring fever read-a-thon but for us down in Florida, it’s summer fever!
Next Saturday, March 10, I have decided to host a read-a-thon of all the books that remind me of summer. Forget about your review books, your new reads, and indulge in rereading your favorite beach reads or reading a new one! Contemporary love stories, mermaid books, anything that reminds you of summer, read it!
If you’d like to join me, sign up below. On the date of the read-a-thon, link up to my post with your progress. I’ll randomly pick a winner and they will win a “summer package” from me. A book or two from me, some snacks, and a pair of Forever 21 sunglasses.
So link up!
