In My Mailbox - January 10, 2016
Hey y'all!I TURNED 18 TODAY! I'm officially an adult - despite unofficially being one since I was twelve. In any case, I appreciate all of you, watching me grow up all this time! I'm horribly nostalgic and sentimental at the moment - I love embracing the cliché of it all.Last night, I had a lovely birthday dinner (Hannah and I are overachievers in that regard) with some of my friends that absolutely made my night. Today, I woke up and had an even better day. I had a fantastic breakfast with my family. I got puppy kisses from a precious golden retriever who's staying with us for a few days. I lazed around for a good amount of the day - my reward for the week/birthday treat to myself was doing absolutely nothing and not worrying about it - which was really wonderful. Finally, I topped it off by going to see the new Star Wars for the first time! I'm absolutely astonished that it wasn't spoiled for me beforehand, but I really appreciated getting to set it aside for today and savor it. It definitely lived up to my expectations! I had a really great birthday. My family would probably yell at me for trying to work on my birthday, but I couldn't resist popping in and sharing with y'all the spoils of my stressful week. I felt the need to reward myself with Barnes & Noble, and I also got a book as a gift from one of my Lit Up Review co-bloggers.For those of you who’ve never seen it before, In My Mailbox is a weekly meme that used to be hosted by Kristi from The Story Siren (which has now morphed into Stacking the Shelves since Kristi’s stopped blogging) where bloggers & readers share books we bought, borrowed, received, or otherwise acquired. So, Sundays are for book pics.As you may have noticed on the right-hand sidebar, I have a small announcement indicating that the blog’ll be a little slower during college admissions. Many gals I blog with over at Lit Up Review are in the same situation. Depending on what happens over the next month or so, it may pick up again pretty quickly, or it may be slower during the spring if I have more hoops to jump through as I figure out where I'll be next year! For more up-to-date installments of what exactly I’ve been reading or getting, the easiest way to get those is to follow me on Twitter, Instagram, or Snapchat! My username across the board is wlsgrace. Words Like Silver has been attempting to conquer the social media game. But without further ado, here's my latest In My Mailbox haul.
