In My Mailbox - June 28, 2015
Hey y'all!I’m here today to do In My Mailbox, a weekly meme previously hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. Since she’s no longer blogging, it’s morphed into Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s where bloggers, authors, or readers post about the books they got in their mailboxes or somehow acquired that week.I leave for Canada on Tuesday for two weeks, so I'm busy scheduling all my posts to go up! I just got back from a 14-hour road trip both ways last week (lacrosse camp, man) and starting Tuesday, we go on a 25-hour car trek to Ontario. Parts of my family are Canadian, so we have a lake house up there!Canada's usually when I read most of my summer books, like my BEA haul, as well as any classics or adult reads that I never quite have time to finish. I save longer books for Canada, and books I've never quite got around to. I first read The Catcher in the Rye in Canada, as well as A Discovery of Witches and The Night Circus. It's a good place for me to discover my favorite out-of-genre reads and often, where I reread them because YA takes up most of my year (which is how I like it.)In any case, so last night I went to Barnes & Noble so that I could get some of those reads. Here's what I came home with:
Nine Stories by J.D. Salinger | GoodreadsSophie's World by Jostein Gaarder | GoodreadsEast of Eden by John Steinbeck | GoodreadsAttachments by Rainbow Rowell | GoodreadsEverything is Illuminated by Jonathan Safran Foer | GoodreadsThe Book of Life by Deborah Harkness | Goodreads
Weightless by Sarah Bannan | Goodreads
