In My Mailbox - March 8, 2015
Hey y’all!I’m here today to do In My Mailbox, a weekly meme previously hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. Since she’s no longer blogging, it’s morphed into Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga’s Reviews. It’s where bloggers, authors, or readers post about the books they got in their mailboxes or somehow acquired that week.Blog-wise, this week had two posts. I wrote about running book club at the Oxford Exchange and announce our book for next month. Then, I wrote about being in a reading slump for the first time ever and being completely unable to finish anything.I spent this week almost entirely dialed into personal affairs - academics and my lacrosse team. We won an intense rivalry game on Friday, which I was ecstatic about, and I got voted onto prom court which was a huge surprise. Additionally, I've been working on a few other group blogs and contributing to other projects which has been really rewarding. As of now, I'm actually in Boston (and you can see my adventures on my Instagram.) I'm here for college visits - to see Northeastern, Boston College, and Boston University. Since it's my first time in the city, I've been soaking it all in! Today was a wandering day because my mom and I got up at 4:30; unfortunately, we didn't realize that the time change meant we'd actually be getting up at 3:30 AM to catch our flight. So I've been a little sleep deprived, but I'll update y'all on my adventures in a Day in the Life post sometime soon! One of our ventures today was to an adorable indie bookstore and cafe, Trident Booksellers and Cafe. They had a really solid YA selection so I picked a read that I've been dying to read but too scared to since Stiefvater's my favorite writer. So without further ado, here’s what I've gotten in my mailbox this week.
