In My Mailbox -- May 28, 2017
Hey y'all! It's a Sunday morning and I'm in Central, South Carolina visiting my older sister -- hitting the road to North Carolina this afternoon. I'm off to the girls' camp I've been going to for ten years, for what should be my last summer and my first full summer working staff. (I always come back to myself at Camp Illahee, and I'll miss it. I'm always my best self at the end of the summer.)In any case, before any good road trip comes a B&N run. This week, upon finally returning home from Virginia, I spent a nice and quiet afternoon lurking in the aisles. There's something so peaceful about leisurely book-browsing: returning to my laptop in the cafe to read reviews of books I considered, underlining poems, watching the rain.I did end up coming home with a few titles, so without further ado:
I already read The Ocean at the End of the Lane on my way home, so there'll be a review up on the blog later this week! It's a pretty canonical read, and I'm happy I finally got around to it!
Here's hoping I have reading time at camp.
