In My Mailbox - September 14, 2014
Hey y'all!I'm here today to do In My Mailbox, a weekly meme previously hosted by Kristi at The Story Siren. Since she's no longer blogging, it's morphed into Stacking the Shelves hosted by Tynga's Reviews. It's where bloggers, authors, or readers post about the books they got in their mailboxes or somehow acquired that week.I got a few books this week thanks to the book club that I ran on Monday. Thanks to SAT tutoring, I'm also in Barnes & Noble at least once a week and get so undeniably tempted by the displays.Today's actually the first day of my first job as a bookseller! I'm working at the Oxford Exchange, a local indie. They're an absolutely amazing business, practically a Tampa landmark. They started out as a bookstore/restaurant/business club and they've expanded into areas like antiques, interior design, a market with cold-pressed juices and food, and all these other really cool ventures. I'm so excited. The bookstore focuses on classics and vintage books (although it still has memoirs and some mainstream fiction) so I'll likely be coming home having spent my paycheck on pretty versions of my favorite Jane Austen books.Without further ado, here are the books I got in my mailbox this week!
Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse | GoodreadsA Little Something Different by Sandy Hall | GoodreadsIsla and the Happily Ever After by Stephanie Perkins | GoodreadsThe Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne | Goodreads
