In My Mailbox - November 3, 2012

Hey y'all!I really had an amazing book week although I didn't have such a great blog week. In case you missed it, yesterday I reviewed the graceful and gorgeous Touching the Surface by Kimberly Sabatini! I got a fantastic package from Penguin that I am ecstatic about and I hope y'all enjoy seeing what books I got! Also, for those of you who might not know, NaNoWriMo started Thursday! I will be participating this year so add me as a writing buddy! I won last year and am so excited to participate, although I'm already behind. In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi from The Story Siren boasting about the books that we've bought, received, or in some way acquired.  Check out the books that I got this week!

In My Mailbox - September 30, 2012

Hey y'all!First of all, I apologize for not having blogged in a while. There is nothing I hate more than not having time to blog and I'm so sorry! The good news is that I do have a reading challenge that I created that I'll be posting about, a wonderful guest post from the incredible Jen Calonita, a review, my favorite trailers post, and an article to post soon! I'm excited about some upcoming content and I know that I say this a lot, but I really really hope that my blog can start to get back to regular posting! Thank y'all so much for sticking with me!This week, I got what looks like a BEAUTIFUL book from Simon & Schuster. I hadn't heard of it before I got it but I've read the first chapter and WOW. I want to live in this book. The mood, the setting, and the writing style is just something that I haven't seen in a long time. It's a rare kind of calm book and it's sad and lovely! I can't wait to dive into it! It's my reward for finishing Florida Virtual School! Plus, the cover is gorgeous!

Again, thanks for sticking with me! It means a lot because my blog is my favorite thing to work on and it's really what keeps me going! I love y'all!Grace

In My Mailbox - Week of September 15, 2012

Hey y'all!Sorry I hardly ever post anymore - I'm starting to get the hang of making sure that I have content lined up and scheduled on the weekends and whatnot so that I actually have TIME to blog during the year but progress is slow going! Thank y'all for your patience! Also, hi to all of you using my blog as your project for AP Lang! For those of you who don't go to my school, in AP Language, a project was to read a blog and write a report on it. A lot of people that I know are using my blog for it, which I'm really excited about! This week I only got one book in the mail but it was fantastic!Won:

Carnival of Souls by Melissa Marr

On Twitter the other day, I was participating in #marrchat, a chat where we asked Melissa Marr, author of the Wicked Lovely books and several other amazing books, questions. I asked her about when she started writing, how she researched, and more. HarperTeen picked me as one of the five lucky winners to receive a signed limited-edition copy of Carnival of Souls! I was really excited because I unfortunately missed her signing and I really wanted this book!I can't wait to start reading!Love y'all!Grace
