Happy List for June
A running list of little joys and gratitudes making my month.

A summer happy list needs no introduction, methinks. (I am a summer girl, often, hence me writing a whole book about it.) As always, this is a living document so I'll chip away at it throughout the month, probably.
June 2
- Kiddos running through a sprinkler.
- Coffeemaker working again.
- A good, in-depth journaling session.
- Remembering someone's kind words when you really needed them, months later.
- Otis Redding (probably has been on here before.)
- My little countertop lamp.
- When the lawnmowers stop.
- Knowing every word to a favorite song.
- Rediscovering an old candle or perfume that yanks you back in time.
- A gloomy day when you need it.
June 5
- Writing a letter to a friend.
- A hot bath for the first time in a really long time?
- Very specifically, the way a little kid looks so safe and small when they're in PJs with wet hair fully combed back by someone who loves them around during a bedtime when it's still light outside.
- Trying a new coffee type and really liking it.
- When you're at the gym at a busy time and annoyed about it but the machines you want to use are open right when you want them.
- Being sore directly after a workout and dreading/loving what tomorrow's going to feel like.
- Related: massage gun.
- The peace of lingering in your car for a minute when you're home.
- Calligraphy.
- My mom calling me because she couldn't sleep, i.e. the time zone being great for others' East Coast insomnia.
- Related: falling asleep early and correcting an iffy sleep rut.
- When you're craving a very specific beverage and then you go and get that beverage. (I'm speaking of kombucha and would have just said "Kombucha," but am not normally a kombucha person so felt the need to qualify the feeling.)
- Book living up to the hype. (This might have appeared already.)
- Finishing said book in tears and realizing it feels kind of nice to cry because it's been so long since you have.
